Emperipolesis (hypotheses and facts)
Cytology and Genetics 1997, v 31, number 3, 81-88
This report is dedicated of modern notion about new biological phenomenon which was named emperipolesis in 1956. On the basis of proper data, morphofunctional characteristics of character of concept about existence of "megakaryocytic-leukocytic" type of emperipolesis is substantiated. A hypothesis about phylogenetic unity of emperipolesis and phagocytosis is suggested.
