Genetic control of morphological characters in beet (Beta vulgaris L.)
Cytology and Genetics 2003, v 37, number 4, 57-72
A brief review of theoretical and practical results of investigation of genetical control of a number of traits of beet, including self-incompatibility, monogerm-multigerm, cytoplasmic male sterility and some others is presented. Data concerning linkage groups of individual genes, determining morphological and biochmical traits are demonstrated.
