SUMMARY. The purpose of this study was to identify the associations between the allelic differences of microsatellite markers (SSR) and the genetic polymorphism of the trait of (stomatal guard cell length) SGCL in winter bread wheat recombinant-inbred lines (RIL) population. The cytological analysis for the investigation of the guard cell length in the leaf epidermal peel, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and statistical calculations were carried out in accordance with generally accepted methods. Genetic diversity in the SGCL trait of the wheat RIL F7 Luzanivka odeska/Odeska chervonokolosa population was identified. A significant influence of allelic differences at SSR loci in four triple combinations of microsatellite loci on the variation of the SGCL was established.
