Bioinformatic search of Са2+- and calmodulin-dependent proteinkinases potentially associated with plant cytoskeleton regulation

Novozhylov D.О., Karpov P.А., Blume Ya.B.

SUMMARY. The paper presents results of bioinformatical search of Arabidopsis thaliana Са2+- and calmodulin-dependent protein kinases as probable cytoskeleton regulators. Homology was specified based on comparison with human and mouse calmodulin-dependent protein kinases affecting cytoskeleton structure and dynamics. Sequences of 41 animal and 42 plant protein kinases catalytic domains was analyzed. The most close animal and plant homologues was identified based on the methods of phylogenic kinase domain clasterization. As result plant protein kinases CPK7, CPK14, CPK32, CPK17, CPK34, CPK20, CPK27, CPK16, CPK18, CPK28, CRK2, CRK4 and СRK6 was selected as the most probable regulators of plant cytoskeleton.

Key words: protein kinase, CaMK, CDPK, CRK, cytoskeleton, alignment, phylogenetical tree
