Cytogenetical peculiarities of tetraploid sugar beet pollinators

Cytogenetical monitoring and analysis of plant morphological features of artificially created sugar beet tetraploid population (C₅) were conducted. Four types of tetraploids differing in pollen quality were selected. It was shown that seeds of triploid hybrids received from diploid plants cross-fertilised by tetraploids were notable for increased germinating capacity.
